Xgimi launches the RS30 Pro High Brightness Edition projector, featuring a brightness of up to 4500 CVIA lumens

Xgimi has officially rolled out its new “High Brightness Edition” RS30 Pro 4K laser projector, kind of in the Chinese market. This one reaches 4,500 CVIA lumens of brightness, which is about 40% more than the base model, so it’s not small change.

From what it uses , the projector runs on the QuaLas42 laser system. Inside there are 26 laser chips that are paired with a 0.47-inch DLP DMD chip, this combo is what lets it hit a native 3840×2160 pixel resolution. For contrast, it’s rated up to 60,000:1 dynamically, and it claims 98% coverage of the BT.2020 color gamut. On the formats side, it supports Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and HDR Vivid, plus it also has IMAX Enhanced certification, which is a nice badge for home cinema people.

The hardware includes an integrated rotating stand for 360-degree horizontal adjustment and 135-degree vertical tuning. There’s an optical zoom lens, and then the “Eagle-Eye 5.0” system, that handles automatic focus, keystone correction, and obstacle avoidance, basically a kind of hands off setup. Processing comes from a MediaTek MT9681 chipset, with 3GB of RAM and 64GB of built in storage.

In terms of connections, you get two HDMI 2.1 ports, Wi‑Fi 6, and Bluetooth 5.2. It also aims at gaming with VRR (Variable Refresh Rate), ALLM (Auto Low Latency Mode), and AMD FreeSync Premium. For sound, it has dual Harman Kardon speakers with a combined 24W output, and there’s support for Dolby Audio and DTS. It comes in at 4.9 kilograms, and the noise figure is under 28 decibels, which sounds pretty quiet for a projector class like this.

Right now the unit is listed in China for around 1,092 USD, and as of yet, there aren’t any clear details about availability in other regions.
