Leaks reveal the start date for iPhone 18 series production

Apple launched the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max last September, while previous reports indicated that the release of the base-model iPhone 18 had been delayed until the spring of next year. In a new development, a source on the platform Weibo has revealed the expected timeline for the start of the device's production.
According to the leak, the iPhone 18 is set to enter the production phase at the end of next November. The source also noted that the projected inventory volume suggests Apple is preparing to manufacture a large number of units.
However, this information partially contradicts a previous statement from the same source, in which they claimed that Apple intended to limit the inventory of the iPhone 18 to focus more attention on the iPhone 18 Pro Max and its upcoming foldable device. That said, the description of the inventory as "large" does not clarify how the production volume compares to previous generations, making it difficult to resolve this discrepancy at the moment.
The start of production at the end of November aligns with expectations for a spring launch; the source suggests that the iPhone 18, along with the iPhone 18e, will be released next March.
As for the expected specifications, previous leaks suggest that the phone will feature a 6.3-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, along with an A20 processor and 9GB of RAM. Apple has not yet confirmed any of this information, so both the specifications and the launch date remain in the realm of leaks.
