OPPO launches its flagship compact tablet, the Pad Mini Matte Display Edition, featuring a matte screen and a 144Hz refresh rate
OPPO finally rolled out the all new “Pad Mini Matte Display Edition” thing, basically a small Android tablet , but with this fancy anti reflective screen aimed at professionals , heavy readers, and people who really like jotting notes for hours. You know, that kind of use.
On the outside it has an 8.8-inch AMOLED display, 2560×1680 resolution, and 344 PPI, so text looks sharp. There’s also an adaptive refresh rate that can go as high as 144Hz, plus peak local brightness reaching 3200 nits. The panel is covered with this textured matte protective layer, which supposedly reduces glare a lot and gives you that almost paper like feel, especially if you use the stylus.
Inside, the tablet runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor. It comes with 8GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB UFS 4.1 storage for the global market. For China, there’s a version with 12GB RAM and up to 512GB internal storage. Battery wise, it has an 8,000 mAh pack and 67W fast charging. Cameras are listed as a 13-megapixel rear and an 8-megapixel front. Connectivity includes Wi‑Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.0, and you get a USB‑C port that follows the USB 3.2 Gen 1 standard. Software is ColorOS 16.
It’s also pretty slim, around 5.46 to 5.5 mm thickness, and weighs about 279 to 282 grams. Color is a lavender purple, kind of standout. Pricing comes in at roughly $1,003 in India and about $857 in Malaysia. Pre orders run from October 22 through October 29, 2026, then deliveries start October 30. If you pre order, you also get a smart cover and a digital stylus, as free add ons.
