Oppo confirms the launch of the Reno17 series next month and begins accepting pre-orders, without disclosing specifications

Oppo has officially confirmed it will do the Reno17 series in China next month, after a few weeks of report and leaks, about what the upcoming devices might look like. Kinda, like they already showed the plan, but still not everything.

The launch window is now real, yes, but the exact day still hasn’t been said. Even so, Oppo has started taking pre-orders via its online store, even though final specs, and the pricing, are still kept under wraps for now.

Besides the new phones Oppo is also getting ready to release the Watch 5 smartwatch and the Pad Air 6 tablet. Both of those are shown for pre-order in the Chinese market as well, so it’s not just handsets.

For Reno17, we should see two variants, the usual Reno17 and the Reno17 Pro. Leaks hint the standard model could be driven by a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor, while the Pro may use a Dimensity 8550 chipset. So basically, different engines, same line.

About the Reno17 Pro, reports claim it comes with a 6.32-inch OLED display, a 200-megapixel main rear camera, and a huge 7,000 mAh battery. That last part sounds pretty serious honestly.

Both phones are expected to run Android 17, with the ColorOS 17 user interface. Oppo says more official info will land soon, in the coming period, when they feel like it.
