Mechrevo launches its lightweight 14 Max Carbon laptop, featuring an OLED display, as a competitor to MacBook Air models

Mechrevo has officially rolled out its new 14 Max Carbon notebook for the Chinese market, kind of, running on the Intel Lunar Lake processor deal. Now it comes with two CPU flavors, first one is the Core Ultra 5 226V for the entry setup. And the second is the Core Ultra 7 256V. This higher tier also adds a built in Arc 140V graphics, which is the main thing most people will notice right away.

On the build side, the company is claiming an ultra light chassis, about 0.94 kg total, and yes it’s even lighter than the 13 inch M5 MacBook Air. The thickness meanwhile comes in at 14.9 mm. Even with that slim, slightly minimalist approach, it still includes a 72Wh battery, for “smart” power efficiency and battery life beyond 21 hours in uninterrupted use.

For the screen, it uses a 14 inch OLED panel at 2880×1800 resolution, plus a 120Hz refresh rate. Brightness is listed as 500 nits, and it covers 100% of the DCI-P3 color space, so yeah, the colors should look pretty crisp. Cooling is handled by a dual fan setup, and you get two Thunderbolt 4 ports. Input wise there’s a 5.7 inch touchpad, plus a backlit keyboard, with 1.5mm key travel.

As for the memory and storage, both models ship with 16GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD. Pricing is also pretty straightforward. The Core Ultra 5 226V variant starts around $943, while the Core Ultra 7 256V configuration is about $1,003.
