Apple makes genuine spare parts available for DIY repairs of the iPhone 18 Pro
Apple has begun selling spare parts and repair tools for the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max through its Self Service Repair Store. This follows an expansion of its partnerships with U.S.-based suppliers to manufacture components for these devices, as well as the "iPhone Duo."
The new additions also include spare parts for the Mac Studio—equipped with M5 Max and M5 Ultra chips—and the Mac mini, featuring M6 and M5 Pro chips.
The company has made a wide range of replacement parts available for its latest phones, including back glass, batteries, top and bottom speakers, camera modules, displays, enclosures, front-facing cameras, logic boards, microphones, SIM trays, and Taptic Engines.
Apple is also offering the necessary tools and supplies for repairs—such as adhesive removal tools, suction cups, nylon probes, torque screwdrivers, and screws—which can be purchased individually.
Regarding pricing, a replacement camera module costs $249—the same price as the camera modules for the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max—despite the inclusion of a variable aperture system in the new models' cameras.
Users can return their old camera module to Apple to receive a credit of $59.76, bringing the effective cost of the replacement down to $189.24.
As for displays, a replacement screen costs $329 for the iPhone 18 Pro, while the price for the iPhone 18 Pro Max is $379. However, the trade-in credit for an old screen is limited, amounting to $16.45 for the smaller model and $18.95 for the Pro Max model.
